3-D Secure

2C2P provides Access Control Server (ACS.NET), Merchant Plug-In (MPI.NET) and Payment Gateway (Gateway.NET) system implementation in compliance with the 3-D Secure protocol to verify cardholders’ identity during online Card Not Present purchases. The 3-D Secure protocol is developed by Visa and offered by all 3 major card brands under Verified by Visa™, MasterCard® SecureCode™ and JCB J/Secure™.

With over 7 years’ experience in 3-D Secure implementation in Asia-Pacific, we have grown to become one of the region’s leading and most cutting-edge 3-D Secure technology providers. In early 2010, we became the first payment provider to successfully implement Southeast Asia’s first One-Time-Password (OTP) enabled 3-D Secure system.

2C2P offers its 3-D Secure solutions under the SinaptIQ brand name. These solutions are built around Microsoft .NET Framework technology with n-tier approach to ensure scalability and robustness. All product offerings make use of the following technologies:

ACS.NET
ACS.NET has been certified to transact for both e-commerce and m-commerce for Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode since September 2003. Cardholders making online payments are redirected to the issuing bank’s ACS where the issuing bank double-authenticates the cardholder.

ACS.NET contains the following modules:
Enrollment Module: The Enrollment Module enrolls cardholders to become a “Verified by Visa” member. One or more of the following enrollment scenarios can be supported:

  • Online Banking Registration
  • Web Registration
  • Direct Mail Solicitation
  • Registration with new accounts process
  • Registration through ATM
  • Mass Registration
  • Activation During Shopping

The enrollment server protects cardholder data by means of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption technology that ensures secure end-to-end online data transport.

Authentication Module: The Authentication Module complies with Visa 3D Secure protocol and includes the following:

  • Verify Enrollment Response
  • Payer Authentication Response
  • Cardholder Authentication Verification Value (CAVV) Generator (Crypto Engine)

    • Reporting Module: The Reporting Module provides detailed reports of transactions, enrollment, system users, card data and other system parameter settings.

    MPI.NET
    MPI.NET is offered to e-commerce merchants as a proven authentication solution that provides real-time cardholder authentication during the online payment process. MPI.NET enables “Verified by Visa”, Mastercard 3D SecureCode and JCB J/Secure payer authentication, thus protecting e-commerce merchants from online fraud. The liability of fraudulent transactions is therefore shifted from the merchant to the issuing bank.

    Gateway.NET
    Gateway.NET allows merchants to authorize, settle and manage credit and debit card payments efficiently and securely.
